Responsible Projects. Safe Work. Lasting Value.

At Argan Int. Group of Companies, sustainability is about how we conduct our business, how we deliver projects, and the responsibility we carry toward people, communities, and the environment.

The infrastructure we help develop and build can operate for decades. Its impact extends beyond engineering, construction, and commissioning to the people who operate it, the communities around it, the resources it consumes, and the economies it supports. We therefore believe responsible project delivery must consider more than technical performance, cost, and schedule.

Across our activities, we work to protect people, manage environmental impacts, use resources responsibly, comply with applicable requirements, and contribute positively to the places where we operate. These principles apply from project development and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

Our approach is practical: understand the risks and impacts of our work, establish appropriate controls, provide competent leadership and resources, and remain accountable for how projects are delivered.

Our Commitment

Responsibility in the Way We Work

Major infrastructure projects bring together people, equipment, technology, natural resources, contractors, communities, and complex operating environments. Managing those interfaces responsibly is an essential part of successful project delivery.

Argan Int. works to incorporate health, safety, environmental, and community considerations into project planning and execution. The specific priorities will differ from one project to another, but the principle remains consistent: identify what matters, understand the risks, establish appropriate controls, and maintain accountability throughout delivery.

Our approach depends on leadership as much as procedures. Project teams, Group companies, contractors, specialists, and individuals all have responsibilities for protecting people and the environment. Clear expectations, competent supervision, training, communication, and the willingness to speak up when conditions are not right are fundamental to maintaining those standards.

We also recognize that major infrastructure investment can create opportunities beyond the facility itself. Local employment, skills development, supplier participation, knowledge transfer, and carefully considered community initiatives can extend the benefits of a project into the surrounding region. For Argan Int., responsibility means considering what we build, how we build it, and what we leave behind.

Our Sustainability Priorities

Four Areas That Define Our Approach

Our approach focuses on environmental responsibility, the health and safety of people, positive engagement with communities, and clear HSE principles that guide our activities. Together, these priorities provide a straightforward framework for how Argan Int. approaches responsible project development and delivery.

Environment

Protecting the Environment

Every infrastructure project interacts with its surrounding environment. Our responsibility is to understand those interactions, manage potential impacts, and look for practical opportunities to improve environmental performance. Argan Int. considers environmental requirements from project planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation — addressing energy and water use, emissions, wastewater, waste management, pollution prevention, drainage, containment, land disturbance, biodiversity, hazardous materials, and the responsible use of natural resources.

Protect resources. Prevent avoidable impacts. Build responsibly.

Health & Safety

Everyone Has a Role in Working Safely

Nothing is more important than protecting the people involved in our work. Major EPC and infrastructure projects involve heavy equipment, lifting operations, energized systems, pressure systems, excavation, work at height, hazardous materials, commissioning activities, and changing site conditions. Argan Int.'s approach begins before work starts: hazards identified, risks understood, responsibilities established, and appropriate controls put in place before people are exposed. Safety is a shared responsibility across management, supervisors, and every individual on our projects.

Plan the work properly. Understand the risks. Make sure everyone goes home safely.

People & Communities

Creating Value Where We Work

Major infrastructure investment can create value far beyond the physical facility. Argan Int. seeks, where practical, to connect project delivery with opportunities for local employment, skills development, knowledge transfer, supplier participation, and broader economic activity — particularly important in developing or underserved regions where community initiatives such as health clinics, schools, potable-water systems, sanitation facilities, or vocational training can extend lasting value beyond project completion.

Creating opportunity, developing capability, and contributing lasting value to the communities around it.

HSE Policy

Our Commitment to Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibility

Argan Int. Group of Companies is committed to protecting employees, contractors, clients, communities, and others who may be affected by our activities, while working to prevent or minimize adverse impacts on the environment. Our HSE approach is based on identifying hazards and environmental risks, establishing appropriate controls, complying with applicable legal and project requirements, providing competent leadership and supervision, and giving people the training and resources required to perform their work responsibly.

Leadership. Accountability. Prevention. Continuous Improvement.

Responsible Project Delivery

Turning Commitment into Action

Commitments have value only when they influence what happens in the office, on the construction site, and within the operating facility. Argan Int. therefore approaches sustainability through practical project actions rather than broad statements alone. Safe work planning, environmental controls, competent supervision, responsible resource management, workforce participation, local engagement, and clear accountability all contribute to how a project is ultimately delivered.

The requirements will naturally differ by project. A power plant, gas-processing facility, pipeline, storage terminal, or industrial development will present different environmental conditions, workforce needs, operational risks, and relationships with surrounding communities. Our responsibility is to understand those differences and respond appropriately.

Through the experience of our Group companies, project teams, contractors, and specialist partners, we work to bring these principles into everyday project execution while meeting the technical, commercial, quality, and schedule requirements expected by our clients. For us, sustainability is ultimately demonstrated through actions: protecting people, respecting the environment, acting responsibly, and creating value that extends beyond project completion.
